“I have once more been banned from the Greek Community of Toronto's Facebook Group by its administrator Mr. Yannis Kakagiannis. Indeed, Mr. Kakagiannis sent a message to the membership of the group detailing the ban, as well as mentioning a possible lawsuit against me for my comments relating to Mr. Menegakis' 10 year maladministration of the GCT. So, I sent Mr. Kakagiannis a message asking him for details, and he replied that there was no lawsuitand that he had acted unilaterally in banning me from the group. So, there you have it, more juvenile antics from members of the current GCT administration.” Sam Sotiropoylos


This message appeared on the Greek Community facebook group page today:
"Mr. Sam Sotiropoulos has been blocked from the GCT Facebook group, pending legal action arising from his personal comments/attacks against Mr. Costas Menegakis, past President of GCT.
A reminder note to ALL that the purpose of this FB group is to promote and communicate the events of the Greek Community of Toronto and other Greek Associations in the GTA area and to promote Hellenism.
Everyone is entitled to express their opinion regarding issues that affect the GCT but in a proper and respectable manner.
This group has been successful in communicating over the last two years and we have received alot of ideas, issues and problems. Please continue your positive participation."

(σ. π. ΕΑΝ, κ. Σωτηρόπουλε, συνεχίζατε και σχολιάζατε, όπως ακριβώς την παραμονή των Χριστουγέννων ή του νέου έτους,.(κάπου εκεί γύρω), νομίζουμε ότι ορθώς σας «έκοψαν»... Όπως η αντοχή, έτσι ακριβώς και η ...δημοκρατία (σας) έχει τα όριά της...
ΤΗΝ πρώτη φορά ο περίδρομος, προσπάθησε να σας βοηθήσει για την ...τάξη και την δημοκρατία, αλλά τώρα, που μας έδειξαν 7-8 απανωτές καταχωρήσεις σας, να μιλάνε για ΟΛΑ και για ΤΙΠΟΤΑ, μάλλον ...χάσατε έναν καλό φίλο...
ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ, γιατί δεν ξεκινάτε ένα blog, εντελώς προσωπικό σας, ώστε να γράφετε ό,τι θέλετε και ό,ποτε θέλετε, δίχως τον κ. Κακαγιάννη ή κ. Κακαρέλη στο κεφάλι σας; Είναι τόσο ...απλό.! Πιστέψτε μας... Εκτός και αν ήδη το κάνατε, αλλά θέλετε να ...ψιλο πηδίξετε ένα καλό εργαλείο της Κοινότητας, όπως είναι το facebook της..., γράφοντας ό,τι ανεύθυνο και ατεκμηρίοτο κατεβάζει εκείνη τη στιγμή το μυαλό σας...)
